Map an existing custom DNS name to Azure App Service


Lab scenario

A website is deployed in Azure App Service and ready for mapping existing custom DNS name so that the website is accessible with organization specific domain name instead of Azure provided Default domain. for example: https://icodeforu.com/

Technical Details

In this lab we will:

  1. Prepare the environment for DNA mapping
  2. Buy a custom domain name for Azure App Service
  3. Get a domain verification ID
  4. Create the DNS records
  5. Enable the mapping in the application
  6. Add a certificate for custom domain / Secure a custom DNS name with a TLS/SSL binding
  7. Enforce HTTPS
  8. Enforce TLS versions
