Add your custom domain name to Azure Active Directory

Lab scenario

Every new Azure AD tenant comes with an initial domain name, .onmicrosoft.com. You can't change or delete the initial domain name, but you can add your organization's names.

Adding custom domain names helps you to create user names that are familiar to your users, such as admin@icodeforu.com.

Technical Details

In this lab we will:

  1. Create your directory in Azure AD
  2. Add your custom domain name to Azure AD
  3. Add your DNS information to the domain registrar
  4. Verify your custom domain name
  5. Discuss Common verification issues
